Meet Our Staff

Anita Adiboye is the person you'll most likely talk to on the phone or meet at the front desk when you arrive at McDaniel Tax & Administrative Services (TobyTax.com for short). She is also a certified notary. Anita is a real people person and enjoys her job because of the continuous interaction with our clients. Before working at TobyTax.com, Anita worked many years in the antique business which she also thoroughly enjoyed. She can definitely tell you a time period, a little history and the value of just about anything put in front of her.

Anita has two wonderful children who are grown and on their own and a beautiful four year old granddaughter, Simmone, who often visits her for breakfast in the office. Anita says, "Take time to visit our warm and friendly office. Not only do we look forward to taking care of any tax needs that you may have in a professional manner, we look forward to meeting you and chatting for a while."

Shannan Renna-Ditmer prefers to stay out of the office as much as possible and does a great job coordinating all of the administrative work performed for various contractors and small businesses. Shannan is always on the run but can occasionally be found preparing a tax return, bankruptcy or divorce for one of many clients who love her "Let's get this done NOW!" philosophy. Shannan enjoys her job because it's non-stop and something is always changing. Shannan's background is in the bar/restaurant field as well as construction. Her family owns a popular bar in Mission beach which she also helps run occasionally.

Shannan has two wonderful children, Sierra, 12 and Trinity, 9. Sierra enjoys volleyball and is known to really get a kick out of spiking the volleyball at opposing teams during the games. Trinity is a music lover and plays both the classic guitar and the violin. After taking care of business for TobyTax.com and attending her children's extracurricular activities, Shannan likes to wind down by relaxing on her front deck, overlooking the bay.

Sylvia Calleros works with TobyTax.com in the evenings. She is a registered tax preparer and the main person that handles audit support. Sylvia also corresponds most of the very important behind-the-scenes work that one often don't even think about. Being fluent in Spanish, one of her most important roles at TobyTax.com is preparing most of our Spanish speaking clients' returns. She's also great at translating any kind of Spanish correspondence, phone call, voice mail, email or text that Toby can't decipher for himself.

Sylvia has one daughter, Starla, who is 8 years old. She can often be found playing computer games in the office while Toby tries to teach her the ins and outs of personal tax returns. When not spending time with Starla or working, Sylvia, being a true music buff, enjoys going to a good concert. You can bet that if there's a music venue, she'll be there!

Angela Mendoza is a 17-year-old young lady that attends Crawford Educational Complex as a 12th grader. Angela started at McDaniel Tax & Administrative as a summer intern through the City of San Diego's Access Hire-A-Youth Program. She enjoyed working with the clients so much that she decided to continue with TobyTax.com even with her busy high school and basketball schedule.

Angela lives with her older sister, her brother in law, her two nephews and her niece. In her spare time, she likes to play sports, hang out with her friends and go to the mall. Angela particularly likes basketball and plays on her school's Varsity team. During college she wants to play basketball and for her career she has decided that she wants to become a Physical Therapist. Angela is certainly learning a great deal about bookkeeping and legal document filings while working at McDaniel Tax & Administrative Services.

Dawn Pettit-Saldana is new to TobyTax.com this year. She has over 15 years of administrative and accounting experience and will be assisting our clients with their administrative, bookkeeping, payroll and tax preparation needs. In addition to her experience, Dawn's educational background includes an MBA and Bachelor's degrees in Human Resources and Accounting and plans to pursue her CPA designation in the future.

Dawn is married and has a 9-year-old son, Garrett. In her spare time, she supports Garrett in his activities for boy scouts and bowling league.

Guisell has been working as reception in the afternoons and evenings at TobyTax.com. She is from Peru and lives in Normal Heights with her husband, Gary, who convinced her to move to the United States. They have been married for a short time and are seeking to increase their family very soon. Guisell is an accountant in Peru and now seeks to purse her career path in the United States. Joining the TobyTax.com team has been a great opportunity for her to strengthen her English while at the same time gradually enter the accounting area. Guisell adds to McDaniel Tax & Administrative a level of knowledge about international accounting that had previously been missing. Speaking Spanish is certainly an asset Toby appreciates also.

One of the things I enjoy most is seeing the satisfaction of our clients when they leave the office and especially when they say "see you next year." Guisell previously worked as a waitress at a ski resort in Montana where she realized that she really liked interacting with customers. Guisell says to come in and relax with the TobyTax.com team while taking care of your accounting needs.

Ella es de Peru y fue su esposo Gary quien la trajo a los Estados Unidos, ellos se casaron y buscan complementar su familia muy pronto. Gary es audeologo y Guisell tiene el titulo de contadora en Peru, y ahora busca consolidar su carrera en el pais. Formar parte del equipo de TobyTax.com ha sido una gran oportunidad para ella para desenvolverse mas en el idioma y entrar poco a poco en el area contable.

Una de las cosas que mas disfruta es ver la satifaccion de nuestros clientes cuando dejan la oficina y sobre todo cuando ellos dicen "nos vemos el proximo año". Guisell tuvo la oportunidad de trabajar como mesera por tres inviernos consecutivos en un sky resort en el estado de Montana donde se dio cuenta que el interactuar con el cliente es algo que naturalmente disfruta. Pudo desarrollar tambien su habilidad con el ingles.

Corinna Hernandez works with McDaniel Tax & Administrative as a registered tax preparer. She is a vital resource to Toby Tax as she commits herself entirely to each and every client. Corinna makes sure she is available to help both clients and fellow colleagues when needed without the slightest hesitation. Before working for tobytax.com, Corinna worked for a variety of financial institutions specializing in accounting and customer service.

Corinna is a San Diego State Alumna where she received her Bachelors' Degree in Accounting. She enjoys spending time with friends and having the weekly movie night when she's not working. Other than that, she has no life and sometimes wonders if she may be a workaholic! After a short break from university life Corinna plans on pursuing her CPA.

Alfredo R. Higuera has been preparing quality tax returns with Tobytax for many years. He is one of the pioneers of McDaniel Tax & Administrative Services. Alfredo, known as Freddo by most, works a few afternoons during the week and every other weekend. We attribute his clients' very active participation in tobytax.com's referral program to his thoroughness and quality work. He is fluent in Spanish which helps break language barriers for the team and our clients. You'll find Freddo's sparkling personality seems to make preparing even the most complicated tax return less stressful and more enjoyable. His clients and teammates consider him a great listener and a true professional.

When Freddo is not working on taxes, he spends quality time with his son, Aidan. They both enjoy spending time fishing, riding bikes and discovering new things around town. Photography is also a passion of Freddo's. Don't be surprised if you see him taking pictures throughout beautiful San Diego County.

Cheryl Willits joins McDaniel Tax & Administrative Services not only as a registered tax preparer but as the Marketing/Advertising/Promotional Manager. Her background in arts & design certainly lends a much appreciated hand to tobytax.com, as Toby swears there's not an artistic bone in his body. When Cheryl isn't designing a new ad campaign, arranging a parade, sponsoring a sports team or doing an income tax return, she's busy with her true love - designing NASCAR race suits. Cheryl has designed suits for several famous NASCAR drivers. and would be happy to tell you all about them during your tax appointment. To date, Toby hasn't been able to get the company logo on the hood of a winning race car but keep watching... Work to the side, Cheryl enjoys going to concerts, traveling or just hanging out with her fiance, Kevin, and their two-year-old, Nala.
